I feel the same way, Amber. As a child and even as a young adult, I never lived in any one place for more than a few years. I was brought up in Colorado and still have an affinity for the Southwest, but I realized recently that I now have called Boston home longer than anywhere else I’ve lived. And for good reason. I love the culture, the sense of community and the great mix of people who hace come to call the Hub their home. You are right, this city embraces its artists, its music and its history, but the people are what make it special. Thank you for adding to it (us)!

Congratulations! You found your home! Mine snuck up on me when i was fidgety and anxious, and saying things like “i moved here in 1980 to go to school, and just forgot to move”. Home. It feels alright, don’t it?!?!?

We Casares’s do roam however we have been in Boston now for more than 17 years and it feels more like home then anyplace I have been. I also love it here and have made many friends that I will miss. However, I am getting too old for the snow and my bones are craving the warmth of the dessert sun. Thats why Rochelle and I are off to Las Vegas! The music scene in Boston has welcomed you and I know how happy and comfortable you are here but remember, we always have a spare bedroom in Las Vegas for you or visitors.

They love you, they love you not, they love you, they…who gives a $hit. Free yourself from what someone else thinks. Our biggest enemy is fear of rejection. It’s the worst feeling and we’ve all been there. The trick is to not take it personally. Now I know you want that person to like you just as much as I don’t want to sit in traffic for two hours but there are some things we can’t control. Sometimes you have to let go and enjoy the ride. Go get ‘em tiger.

I’m not ready to share any of the new tunes yet – I’ve only got one recorded anyway and it’s a scratch reference vocal so I’m not sure I really want that one “out there” yet.

I am googleable but you can always listen to a few of the country tunes I did a few years back…
